(Danville, Va.) — A winter storm watch will go into effect tonight through tomorrow evening for areas west of the Blue Ridge.

The National Weather Service says the Danville area can expect mixed precipitation over the next 48 hours, however, little snow accumulation is expected on the Southside. The rain is expected to transition over to snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, changing back to rain later in the day.

There’s another chance of snow in our area on Saturday.
