(Danville, Va.) — Danville Utilities crews have restored power service to residential customers along Route 58 East. Service was restored at 9:53 a.m. Airside Industrial Park was still without power late Saturday morning.

The outage affected residential customers along South Boston Road from the industrial park to Halifax County. More than 2,700 customers were briefly without power. The outage occurred just before 9 a.m. and was caused by a bad underground cable.
