(Henry County, Va.) – Henry County authorities believe they have found the body of a Martinsville man who had been missing since for a week.

A body was discovered Saturday afternoon in a wooded area off of Barrows Mill Road in Henry County, about a mile-and-a-half from Larry Hinchee’s home.

Hinchee, 54, left his job during the early morning hours of March 24 and then disappeared. Neighbors reported seeing him walking around 2 a.m. but police say that was part of his routine.

Martinsville Deputy Police Chief Rob Fincher released a statement Saturday night saying that “the body is presumed to be that of missing person Larry Hinchee.”

The family has been notified and the body has been sent to the state medical examiner for identification and to determine the cause of death.
