(Danville, Va.) — Danville Police suspect arson in a fire at a vacant apartment building on Walker Street.

The Danville Fire Department responded just before one am Saturday and found fire in the rear of the building. It took 16 firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the blaze.

The fire marshal’s office concluded that the fire was incendiary and had been set intentionally.

The owner was in the process of renovating the multi-unit building at 110 Walker Street when the fire was discovered.
