(Danville, Va.) – A Danville teenager who had been wounded by gunfire was being driven to the hospital when the car crashed on Union Street Bridge Saturday night.
Police responded and found a wrecked car on the north side of the bridge. A teen suffering from a gunshot wound was inside the vehicle. He was taken the remainder of the way by ambulance and was treated for a non-life threatening wound and released.
Investigators believe the shooting happened on Arnett Boulevard.
The accident was reported at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday.
Danville Police are continuing their investigation but have yet to make an arrest in the shooting.
