(Danville, Va.) — A Danville man was stabbed by two intruders during a Saturday night home invasion.
The 34-year-old man was attacked in his home, not far from the site where Danville Police made four arrests earlier this month.
Danville Police responded to the 300 block of Virginia Ave around 9 p.m. Saturday on a disturbance call. On arrival, officers found a man with a stab wound. The victim told police that two men forced the rear door open and entered the residence. Once inside, the man was stabbed. The man was taken initially to Sovah Health-Danville and then transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was last listed in stable condition.
The stabbing follows another incident in the same area on April 21. A late-night party at 340 Virginia Avenue resulted in four arrests after police responded to a report of shots fired outside the rental house. The shots were fired into the air and no one was injured.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Danville Police Department. Anyone with any information is encouraged to call 911 or Danville Crime Stoppers at (434)-793-000.
