(Danville, Va.) – One of two men charged with a Christmas 2017 murder entered a guilty plea in Danville Circuit Court Tuesday.

Dashaun Lamar Trent’s plea came at the end of two days of testimony. Trent had been charged with first-degree murder in the December 22, 2017 shooting death of Antwan Duval Tucker, but agreed to plead guilty to two counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle.

The trial for co-defendant Tredarius Jameriquan Keene is set to continue Wednesday morning in the same courtroom.

A third defendant, 20-year-old K’Darius Taequan West, entered guilty pleas to second-degree murder and firearms charges earlier and was sentenced to 27 years in prison.

Trent and Keene still face federal racketeering charges related to violent street gang activity in Danville.
