DANVILLE, VA — The Danville Fire Department has determined that a house fire at 305 Plum Street was set intentionally.
The Danville Fire Marshal’s Office ruled the cause of a blaze at 305 Plum St. as incendiary. Danville Police have arrested
Clifford Tribble on a charge of arson. He was being held in Danville City Jail on Friday morning.
19 firefighters responded from three stations and knocked down the flames quickly. They were on the scene for about 90 minutes.
Heavy fire and water damage was reported in one bedroom, with the rest of the house sustaining heat and smoke damage. The home was condemned as a result of the damage.
The Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Electric Department, Danville Water and Gas Department and Danville Police Department assisted on scene.
