PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA – One person was hospitalized after a weekend shooting at a party in Gretna.
The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at around 2:00 am Sunday after receiving a report of a shooting at a large party in the 1000 block of Rockford School Road.
By the time deputies arrived, the victim had been taken by private vehicle to the Centra Health Emergency Department in Gretna and later transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
No charges have been filed but the shooting remains under investigation.
