Danville, VA — A Danville woman faces trial for arson after she allegedly attempted to set another woman on fire in a jealous rage.

A judge on Monday certified felony charges against Mikka Hodnett to a Danville grand jury.

Hodnett was arrested by Danville Police in November after authorities say that she tried to burn down a home. She is also accused of attempting to set a woman on fire for being with her boyfriend.

Hodnett told fire investigators she sprayed 90 proof alcohol along the second story of the house to ignite the fire.

Hodnett is charged with arson and malicious wounding.

Her trial is set for July 16 in Danville Circuit Court.
