SPENCER, Va. – Virginia State Police are looking for a man who walked away from an accident in Henry County.

Authorities said Joseph Wilfrid Barrette, 42, was driving a 2012 dark blue Buick Enclave when he was involved in a crash on Highway 58. According to investigators, we walked away from the scene of the accident in Spencer and has not returned home.

Barrette was last seen on Friday, July 12 in Tyro, NC.

Barrette’s phone was last pinged in Montgomery, N.C. around Uwharrie National Forest.

Barrette is described as a five-foot-eleven male who weighs 205 pounds. He has brown eyes and dark brown hair.

Anyone who has information on Barrette’s whereabouts is asked to call Virginia State Police.
