(Danville, Va.) – Crews responded to a structure fire at a Danville business early Tuesday morning.

Engine 5, from the Third Ave fire station, arrived at Walker Auto Sales at 2201 N. Main Street at 1:21 a.m. and found fire showing from the front window of the building. An attack line was pulled and the fire was knocked down quickly. An engine and a ladder truck from the Lynn Street Station and a unit from the Airport station were also on the scene.

The building suffered moderate damage to the building. None of the cars on the lot was damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marshal’s office.

The Danville Fire Department responded with 16 firefighters, 3 engines, a ladder truck, and support personnel.
