DANVILLE, Va. – A tractor-trailer truck overturned Thursday morning on the exit ramp leading from US 58 East to the northbound 29 Bypass to Chatham.

The 18-wheeler overturned while rounding a curve. Diesel fuel was leaking and the Haz-Mat team from the Danville Fire Department is on scene along with multiple wreckers.

The trailer portion split open along the top and Danville Police have blocked off the exit ramp.

The driver was not injured. He was standing outside the cab when the Danville Lifesaving Crew arrived.
