DANVILLE, Va. – This year’s annual CROP Walk in Danville raised thousands of dollars to fight hunger.
Hundreds of individuals and groups representing local organizations turned out Sunday for the 12th annual event.
Half of the money goes to Church World Service, Inc. to fight hunger, with the remainder designated for God’s Storehouse in Danville.
Walkers chose either a 1 or 3 mile route starting and ending in Ballou Park.
The CROP walk raised about $15,000 last year.
