ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. – Two Martinsville men have been arrested and charged with the armed robbery of an Eden, North Carolina convenience store.
Yalieq Demond Zire Brown and Jordon Christopher Turner, both 20, were identified through surveillance photos and taken into custody by Henry County Sheriff’s deputies.
Rockingham County investigators say Brown and Turner entered the Park-Vue Mark on Saturday, pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded money. The pair fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Both are being held in the Henry County Detention Facility under no bond, pending extradition to North Carolina.
The two also face charges in another robbery. Eden Police responded to The Vault gaming establishment on E. Meadow Rd. following an armed robbery at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
The suspects displayed firearms as they entered the business and gunfire was exchanged between one of the robbers and an employee. One of the robbers was hit.
The robbers fled to the Martinsville area, where two were arrested by Henry County Sheriff’s deputies.
Police have charged Jordan Christopher Turner, 20; Darehyon Monte Rucker, 18; James Davonte Flood, 19; and Yalieq Desmond-Zire Brown, 20, with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Rucker, Turner and Brown were located and are being held under no bail. At last report, Flood remained at-large.
