ROANOKE, Va. – Acting US Marshal Brad Sellers has a warning for anyone who may be helping murder suspect Michael Brown elude police: Anyone harboring the fugitive with face criminal charges.

The warning follows social media posts by groups saying they would protect Brown from capture. The Marine deserter has now been on the run for nearly two weeks.

Brown is charged with killing his mother’s boyfriend, Rodney Brown, in Franklin County on November 9.

Sellers says there have been no confirmed sightings of Michael Brown since November 14 when his RV was located in Roanoke. He said law enforcement agencies have received about 280 tips, most in the past week.

A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to Brown’s capture.
