(Collinsville, VA) – Authorities have made an arrest in an undercover drug investigation into cocaine distribution in Henry County. Officers from both the Virginia State Police and the Henry County Sherriff’s office executed search warrants at A&E Auto Sales and a home in the 300 block of Paul street in Collinsville.
As a result of the search the task force was able to recover more than a pound of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and just over $10,000 cash. The street value of the narcotics is estimated at over $20,000. Several vehicles and recreational equipment were also seized as a result of the warrants.
Tamon Dorrell Witcher, 31 of Collinsville was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II-controlled substance with intent to distribute which is a felony. The penalty if convicted could range from 2 to 10 years in jail and fines up to $2,500.
Witcher was released on a $7,500 unsecured bond. The investigation is still ongoing and more charges are likely in the case.
