DANVILLE, Va. – Hundreds lined the streets of Main Street in Danville Sunday afternoon to watch the city’s annual Christmas parade.

The Riverview Rotary Christmas Parade featured colorful floats, marching bands, vintage cars, scout troops and local politicians.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse sat atop one float and children were greeted by Buzz Lightyear, Sheriff Woody, the Grinch and Santa and Mrs. Claus.

This year’s grand marshal was Kenny Lewis, executive director of the Danville Church Based Tutorial Program.

The theme for this year’s parade was “A Hometown Christmas” and the procession featured more than 100 entries.

The parade started at 3 p.m. and ran just over an hour.
