HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. – Investigators have released the name of the woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Halifax County Monday night.

Virginia State Police Trooper L.V. Pambid says 69-year-old Carrie A. Williams of Scottsburg, Va, was transported to Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, where she died of her injuries.

The trooper responded to the crash on Route 360 West, near its intersection with East Bethel Road. A 2018 Ford Fusion was struck by a 2000 Nissan Frontier pick-up truck.

Williams was driving the Ford.  She was wearing her seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
