ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. -Virginia now has its third coronavirus case.
The Virginia Department of Health announced on Monday that an Arlington County resident tested positive on Sunday evening.
Over the weekend, state health officials confirmed two cases in northern Virginia in Fairfax and at Fort Belvoir.
The Arlington County resident developed symptoms and tested positive for the novel virus. The test results still must be confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta.
The patient is in his or her 60s, developed fever, cough and shortness of breath after traveling internationally. The patient is being treated and is recuperating.
