CASWELL COUNTY, N.C. – A Danville man has been arrested and charged in a shooting that left a man dead at Lucky’s on Rt. 86.

42-year-old Damon Dewayne Lee of Danville is charged with second-degree murder. Lee was placed in the Caswell County Detention Center under no bond. His first court appearance was set for Wednesday afternoon, March 11, in Caswell County District Court.

The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office has not identified the man who was shot and killed and has given no information involving a possible motive. A news release said the homicide is still under investigation.

Lucky’s is a nightspot located just across the Virginia-North Carolina border in Providence, N.C. Caswell County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the location at around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
