FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – The West Piedmont Health District, which includes Martinsville and Henry County, now has its first confirmed case of coronavirus.

A 60-year-old Franklin County woman has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, also called coronavirus. She is isolated at home in Rocky Mount.

No additional details were released.

The Virginia Department of Health earlier announced confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Roanoke and Franklin, Rockbridge and Amherst Counties.
