RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia Department of Health reports no new cases of COVID-19 today.
There are now 3,645 cases across Virginia, including 18 in the Danville-Pittsylvania Health District. Of that number, 15 are in the city of Danville and three in Pittsylvania County.
The numbers go through Tuesday afternoon and list 615 people hospitalized. 75 people have died throughout the commonwealth.
More than 1,200 people have tested positive in the nation’s capital, with 22 deaths, in Washington. But national and local health officials predict that the worst is yet to come and fear the city may become a coronavirus hot spot.
