RICHMOND, Va. – 208 people have died in Virginia from COVID-19. That’s an increase of 13 from the 195 deaths reported on Wednesday.

The Virginia Department of Health reported Thursday that 6,889 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Virginia, an increase of 389 in 24 hours.

22 cases have been reported in Danville and five in Pittsylvania County.

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam has extended an order closing non-essential businesses for an additional two weeks until May 8.
