DANVILLE, Va. – A Danville man has died of injuries sustained in a Thursday afternoon wreck

It happened around 4 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Arnett Boulevard.

According to Danville Police, a Chevrolet Impala driven by Travis McKenzie, 39, was traveling southbound on Arnett Boulevard when it drifted into the northbound lanes and collided with a Ford F-150. The Danville Lifesaving Crew transported McKenzie to the hospital where he later died. The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.

The medical examiner’s office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The accident remains under investigation.
