RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia Department of Health reported 448 coronavirus-related deaths in the state on Sunday, up from the 436 reported one day earlier.
The VDH is currently reporting 12,970 total cases of COVID-19, including 12, 488 confirmed and 482 probable cases. That’s an increase of just over 600.
There are 897 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Virginia and 539 patients are hospitalized waiting for their test results. Of those numbers, 387 patients are in the ICU and 217 patients are on a ventilator.
1,815 COVID-19 patients have been released following hospitalization.
