DANVILLE, Va – The floodwaters have receded, and the Dan River water level is below the flood stage. River Street remains closed. Crews are cleaning up debris and mud from the street surface. We expect to reopen the street later today.

A section of Trade Street also remains closed. Crews will begin cleaning that street surface later today.
