DANVILLE, Va. – It’s official: Danville Public School students will attend virtual classes during the first nine weeks of the upcoming school year.
At Thursday night’s meeting, the board approved a plan that calls for all students, with the exception of those in preschool, to be taught by teachers virtually through online instruction. Preschool students will attend school in person on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Wednesdays will be set aside for home assignments and teacher planning.
Parents must complete mail-in form designating whether they wish for their children to be taught virtually or attend in-person classes for the remainder of the school calendar.
Teachers will be assigned based on the results of those surveys.
