DANVILLE, Va. – Danville could see a mixed bag of precipitation Wednesday, including snow, sleet and freezing rain.
The National Weather Service says Southside Virginia – including Pittsylvania, Henry and Patrick Counties – could get a wintry mix of precipitation Tuesday night and into the morning hours on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service says there’s a 30% chance of snow and sleet overnight, with sleet and freezing rain likely Wednesday morning. The chance of mixed precipitation Wednesday is near 100%. A total sleet accumulation of less than one inch is possible in the Danville area.
The precipitation is expected to change to rain by late afternoon.
Lows are expected to drop into the upper 20s Tuesday night, with a high in the mid-30s Wednesday.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect Tuesday night and Wednesday.
