DANVILLE, Va. – The Danville City Courthouse building will be closed Friday, Dec. 18, due to a COVID-19 exposure.

A news release from the Danville Sheriff’s Office reported the entire building will be shut down on Friday to allow for a deep cleaning after the exposure. The sheriff’s office apologized for any inconvenience but offered no details concerning the exposure.

Meanwhile, in Pittsylvania County, the clerk of court’s office along with the commissioner of the revenue’s office remain closed to the public until Dec. 28 because of a COVID-19 exposure there. The courts continue to operate in Chatham, with mask wearing and social distancing requirements in effect.
