(Danville, VA) – Danville Police responded to a call of shots fired around 2am Tuesday morning in the 200 block of Greenwich Circle.  Upon arrival authorities found bullet holes in two vehicles and a house.  The home and one of the vehicles were occupied.  There were no injuries in the shooting.

Investigators were able to identify the shooter as 18-year-old Javonte L. Harris.   He was arrested a short time later and was charged with one count of shooting from a vehicle.  Police believe the shooter knew the intended victims and this is an isolated incident.  Harris is being held in the Danville City Jail without bond. More charges are expected.

Danville Police recognizes the fear that a shooting of this nature can instill in a community and will be holding a H.E.A.R.T Walk Wednesday so that they can update the residents in person and help them recover.
