MARTINSVILLE, Va. – The Mexican restaurant in Martinsville that was the scene of a double murder over the weekend has now been closed for mask violations.
The temporary closure of the El Norteño restaurant in Martinsville reportedly followed repeated violations of mask-wearing regulations at the eatery. The Virginia Department of Health says it has revoked the restaurant’s food permit due to repeated mask violations related to COVID-19 guidelines. The restaurant had earlier surrendered its liquor license.
Two men were shot and killed and two others seriously wounded in the bar area of the restaurant during a confrontation involving several patrons Friday night. Two men have been charged in the incident.
