DANVILLE, Va. – Danville firefighters and members of the local haz-mat team made quick work of a sulfur fire Wednesday morning.
The Danville Fire Department responded at 2:15 a.m. to the Pilot Station on Riverpoint Drive for a report of a tractor-trailer fire. The driver told authorities that his cargo consisting of bags of sulfur was ablaze.
Crews doused the fire and hosed down the sulfur. There were no injuries.
