PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – Two recreational vehicles were destroyed in a Thursday afternoon fire at Paradise Lake Campground in Keeling, Va.
Units from a half dozen volunteer departments responded to the call around 3 p.m.
On arrival, heavy fire was visible from two RV’s. Firefighters doused the flames but both were gutted. A third RV suffered heat and smoke damage but was was moved and spared.
One person was treated at the scene for minor burns to the face. Two pets died in the fire. The cause is under investigation.
A few minutes after the Keeling fire, units were dispatched to a report of a fire at Brockway Glass. Danville provided mutual aid.
