CHATHAM, Va. – Businesses across Danville and Pittsylvania County will be recognized through Friday as the area celebrates Business Appreciation Week.

This year’s theme, “Rooted in the Region,” aims to offer thanks to all businesses operating in the county. The county has more than 3,100 employers. Those businesses include retail establishments, manufacturers, healthcare, professional services, food services and restaurants, construction, finance, administrative, education, government, recreation and entertainment, information technology and agriculture.

A number of activities will be held throughout the week to recognize those employers. They’re listed on the Business Appreciate Week Danville Pittsylvania Facebook page.
