DANVILLE, Va. – Danville Police have identified 54-year-old Donzel Coles as a person of interest in Wednesday’s robberies of two retail stores.
Officers are investigating the robberies of two dollar stores Wednesday afternoon. Family Dollar on N. Main Street was robbed about 12:30 p.m. by a man brandishing a firearm. While police were investigating that incident, the Dollar General Store on W. Main Street was robbed around 1 p.m.
The robber is described as a black male with a beard in his late forties or fifties. He was wearing dark colored shorts, a dark shirt, and had a mask covering his nose and mouth. He was possibly driving a white, 4-door sedan believed to be a mid-nineties model Buick.
No shots were fired and the robber made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Coles is already wanted in Pittsylvania County for burglary and petty larceny.
