(South Boston, VA) – Traffic was brought to a standstill during the Wednesday morning commute after an accident along highway 58 near South Boston. The accident took place just before 8AM between a pickup truck and a motorcyclist saw the driver of the motorcycle airlifted from the scene.
According to the Virginia State trooper on scene Paul Young, 41 was driving his Ford pickup eastbound when a 2013 Honda Goldwing pulled out from Virgie Cole Road into his path.
The unidentified driver of the Goldwing was said to have a broken leg, but any other conditions were unknown, Young was not injured. No charges have been filed in the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
