ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. – The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left three people wounded Sunday night.

Deputies and sheriff’s investigators responded to a call of shots fired at a home at 160 Dan River Church Road, near Eden. Three victims were treated for gunshot wounds but the extent of their injuries isn’t known at this time.

No information was available on what led to the shootings of whether investigators have a suspect. Deputies say they are in the early stages of the investigation.

The shooting was reported about 10 p.m. Sunday.
