Matthew Isaac Critchley is charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the death of Lawrence Keith Taylor. Taylor was shot at his home in Evington.

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on Buffalo Lane at around 10 p.m. Sunday. Taylor had been shot and died as a result of his wounds.

Critchley was developed as a suspect and was taken into custody Monday afternoon. He was placed in the Campbell County Adult Detention Center, where Critchley continues to be held without bond.

Investigators have not given a motive in the fatal shooting.
