DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University in Danville is the latest school to require that all students and staff be vaccinated.

In announcing the mandate, the school set Thursday, Sept. 30 as to the deadline for all to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The requirement includes all residential and commuter students, all employees on campus and all third-party on-campus vendor employees.

The university said exceptions will be made for those with approved medical or religious exemptions.
