DANVILLE, Va. – If you’re planning on using Riverside Drive in the near future, better allow for some extra time.

Starting Thursday, Nov. 18, Danville motorists will experience frequent shifts in traffic patterns along Riverside Drive due to asphalt milling and paving operations.

City officials say both eastbound and westbound travel on Riverside Drive will be affected between Audubon Drive and Locust Lane. In addition, the intersections at Riverside Drive/Arnett Boulevard and Riverside Drive/Locust Lane will stay closed during resurfacing operations.

Motorists are urged to slow down, be aware of changes in the traffic patterns, and allow for some extra time to reach your destinations amid this road work.
