DANVILLE, Va. – In an effort to boost vaccination rates among children, the Virginia Department of Health’s Pittsylvania-Danville Health District will host a pair of COVID-19 vaccination and booster clinics at two local elementary schools in January. The clinics will offer first, second, additional primary and booster doses at no cost to the public.
The Moderna vaccine and the single-dose Johnson & Johnson are available to anyone over the age of 18. The Pfizer vaccine is available for anyone age five and older. A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18.
The clinics will be held on consecutive Saturdays next month: the first on Jan. 8 at GLH Johnson Elementary School on 680 Arnett Blvd. and the second on Saturday, Jan. 15 at Park Avenue Elementary School at 661 Park Ave. in Danville.
Each clinic will operate between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
