BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech will now require all students and employees to get a booster shot ahead of the spring semester.
Tech will require all students who are not granted exemptions to get a COVID-19 booster shot within 14 days of eligibility. Updated vaccine information for students already eligible is due February 1.
Unvaccinated students and staff will be tested weekly and mask mandates will remain in effect during the spring semester.
Students who are not yet eligible must schedule an appointment to get the booster as soon as they are eligible. As soon as they receive the booster, students and employees are required to upload their proof of vaccination.
All residential students will also be required to present a negative COVID-19 test before returning to school.
Anyone who tests positive will not be allowed to move into on-campus housing until they compete the isolation period.
