PROVIDENCE, N.C. – The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who was shot and killed at Lucky’s bar on Rt. 86 as 21-year-old Daren Lorenzo Hairston of Danville.

In a statement released Monday, the sheriff’s office reported that deputies responded early Sunday morning to a report of shots fired in the parking lot of Lucky’s Night Club at 268 Gatewood Road in Providence, N.C.

Upon arrival, they found Hairston dead of a gunshot wound.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information on the shooter or the homicide to call authorities at 336-694-9322.

Hairston’s was the second shooting death at the bar in as many years.
