REIDSVILLE, N.C. – Authorities in Rockingham County, North Carolina are investigating a Wednesday morning shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.

The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. at home in Reidsville.

Investigators say Quantez Moore, 30, arrived at the hospital in Eden with a gunshot wound. He was then airlifted to another hospital for additional treatment of his injuries.

Moore told investigators he had been shot at his home in the 1900 block of Moir Mill Road. Deputies arrived at the address and found 29-year-old Rivien Daniels, of Mayodan, dead inside the house. Daniels had also been shot.

Moore was one of the people arrested last week as part of a FedEx theft ring. Police said they identified two FedEx employees and found multiple packages at five different addresses while recovering $10,000 worth of merchandise.

The motive is unclear and the sheriff’s office has not said whether there are any suspects in the shootings.
