DANVILLE, Va. – Danville native Anne-Moore Sparks has been named as the new president and CEO of the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce. She begins her new position on April 4.

Moore-Sparks has served the Danville Public Schools where she was community engagement and business partnership specialist, teacher quality specialist, and director of the Danville Public Schools Education Foundation. She also has worked for Gateway Health, City of Danville, and the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research.

Moore-Sparks is a graduate of Averett University, Leadership Southside and the Sorenson Institute for Political Leadership. “My history with the region and its businesses makes me proud to lead the region’s premier business organization,” said Moore-Sparks. “I see the Chamber as an integral part of the region’s economic development infrastructure and our programs and services will help businesses prosper here.”

She succeeds Alexis Ehrhardt who resigned in September.
