HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. – A logging truck overturned and caught fire following a Monday collision in Halifax County.

Virginia State Police responded  at 11:39 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash on Route 360. A pickup truck and tractor-trailer collided on Route 360 near Route 614.

The impact of the crash caused the tractor-trailer – a logging truck – to overturn sideways across the highway and catch fire. Several logs fell across 360 and had to be cleared by road crews.

State police say both drivers suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
