CHATHAM, Va. – The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday night to approve the advertisement of the fiscal year 2023 Budget.
The proposed budget includes a $76.3 million general fund, no tax rate increases, and utilizes the last certified real estate values from the 2018 reassessment.
The Board will will adopt the new budget in April.
The Board of Supervisors also passed a resolution to invalidate the 2022 reassessment data. According to a press release, the “action was taken due to significant concerns that have emerged regarding the assessment’s statutory reassessment compliance, data integrity, and uniform/equitable application of values.”
