(Danville, VA) – Just after 5pm Saturday afternoon the Danville Fire Department responded to reports of a brush fire on River Park Drive, across from the Danville Welcome Center.

Multiple units responded and the fire was extinguished quickly.  Crews were on scene for roughly an hour.

There were no injuries and at this point the cause of the fire has not been identified.
