The Southern Area Agency on Aging has announced that the Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program is back this year. It means that a limited number of eligible seniors may can get $45 worth of coupons that can be used to purchase locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables and cut herbs at participating farmers markets. The agency will begin to take applications on April 6th and the coupons will be given out while supply lasts. There are some limitations… such as you must be or become 60 years old on or before June 1st, and you must be a local resident.
